Bumblebug web site launches

Today marks the launch of the newly developed web site for Bumblebug, a West Hartford, CT-based creator of unique products and services for children, including custom hand-painted furnishings, unique clothing and accessories, personalized art, and more. Through its highly customized products and services, the company strives to create unique environments for children that inspire imagination and creativity in them.

When approaching this design, it was important to create something that was as unique as the products and services to be showcased. This process began for Crucial Networking with a logo design for Bumblebug, and carried through to the web site design, development, and content management system.

With her new web site and accompanying CMS, Bumblebug owner Olivia Hanzel is able to keep the time required to maintain her web site to a minimum, allowing her to focus more of her time on her unique products! The CMS developed for Bumblebug features the ability to edit all text-based content on the web site, as well as the management of product imagery. Additionally, submissions from the site's various forms (tell a friend, contact, inquire about this product) are stored in a database as backup and for easy maintenance.

One of Crucial Networking's first clients back in 2002, the new web site for Seniors Count will focus on improved usability and clearer dissemination of information. Additionally, the new site will employ a much more intuitive calendar and virtual tours, created using custom photography by Crucial Networking.


Web site offering online jiu-jitsu training from Rodrigo Gracie launches

Rodrigo Gracie, a member of the famed Gracie family that brought mixed martial arts to the United States, is seeking to revolutionize jiu-jitsu training with his new web site. A year in the making, virtualgracie.com is a subscription-based service that provides distance learning, allowing students from around the world to personally interact & train with Rodrigo via video downloads/uploads.

From a user standpoint, the site offers an extensive library of instructional videos, demonstrating a wide variety of jiu-jitsu maneuvers, basic information, and a message board to interact with other subscribers.

The site also features an extensive backend that allows Rodrigo to manage web site content, subscribers, and video content. Subscribers are granted access to the video library based upon their subscription type. The video delivery method created by Crucial Networking compels subscribers to register their computer with their account, ensuring that only those paying for the content will be able to recieve/review it, protecting Rodrigo's investment & content from unauthorized use.

AMP Radio Network is a revolutionary new resource for the independent musician: a platform for them to get FREE airtime for their music on an audio platform that plays at high-volume gas stations across Connecticut (with plans for national expansion). The audio system, currently running at 60 locations throughout Connecticut, is made up of music, trivia, comedy, and ads for local businesses.

In addition to designing & developing the web site, Crucial Networking continues to provide a wide-range of services on this project, having built the player that powers the system, the backend to manage it, and assistance in the deployment of new players to new locations.

3D Paper Graphics calls upon Crucial Networking, LLC

3D Paper Graphics, a division of Dimensional Communications, Inc. recently hired Crucial Networking, LLC to integrate an e-commerce system into their existing web site. This system enables real-time credit card transactions for 3D's customers. 3D's customers are businesses who wish to send innovative 3-dimensional holiday greetings to their customers and prospects.

The initial results of this project are very positive; the site averages double-digit transactions per day, in less than one month of operation.


Northern Conn. Wings Hockey Club enlists Crucial Networking for redesign

The Northern Conn. Wings Hockey Club was founded in 2003 by Scott Gainey, in an effort to give local high school hockey players the chance to be exposed to the coaches of top area hockey programs and provide them the opportunity to pursue hockey at all levels.

The Wings have rapidly expanded in the past four years, and now boast one of the premiere split-season midget AAA/Junior teams in the Northeast. Young hockey players from all over Connecticut play in the league.

Crucial Networking will be redesigning the site, seeking to create a professional web presence for the Wings that focuses on usability and quick & easy dissemination of information, for both current and potential members. The site will also feature a Content Management System on the backend that will allow the Wings to quickly update the site themselves with news, program information, schedules, photo galleries, and more.

Crucial Networking to redesign Woolco Foods web site, develop online order system

Woolco Foods is a premier broadline foodservice distributor located in Jersey City, NJ, distributing groceries, dairy, fresh produce, frozen foods and seafood to the greater New York area and beyond. The company sets themselves apart from their competition through customer service, allowing lower minimum orders than most of their competitors, delivery 6 days per week, and a late (10pm) order cut off.

In the process of redesigning the Woolco Foods web site, Crucial Networking will be developing a complex online order system that will allow them to serve their customers more efficiently by allowing them to easily place real-time orders online. The system will allow customers access to new products and will also help to streamline Woolco's operations, virtually eliminating human error in the order selecting/fulfilling process.

Similar online systems developed by Crucial for Reddy Raw and Twelve Baskets have resulted in millions of dollars in online sales.

New York congressional candidate Richard Wager has chosen the team comprised of Top 50 Business-to-business agency Keiler & Company and Crucial Networking, LLC. A fully-designed site is planned, but the candidate needed a means of collecting contributions while development of the full site happens. Crucial Networking and Keiler developed a simple micro-site that enables Mr. Wager to deliver his message, solicit volunteers, and most importantly, accept contributions from supporters. A full site launch is planned for late August.
